Life brings stress on its own, but during these days of social distancing because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re all dealing with a higher level of stress. Twice a week Dr. Jim Walsh is offering brief mindfulness meetings intended to help you lower your stress level to enhance your well-being in these difficult days. Our online meetings (using the Zoom platform) will be brief, relaxing, and resilience-building.
With so many things that are outside of our control, this 1 hour workshop will focus on the one thing we do have control over: cultivating simple practices and strategies for managing our sense of well-being in the face of uncertainty. Let’s practice together and build up our reserves of calm and resiliency as a community.
In this particularly stressful time, it’s more important than ever to calm the mind and reduce fear and stress. Join us every Monday and Thursday for a free, live group meditation.
Looking for a sense of calm in your new routine? Join University of Delaware Cooperative Extension for a 15 minute mindful break from working at home as 4-H curriculum Get Experience in Mindfulness GEM goes online each Wednesday in April. These live sessions are part of a series of mindfulness practices you can do right from home, led by GEM educator and registered yoga teacher, Alyssa Saienni.
